Macalester vs. Luther statistics

Macalester entered Sunday's match at Luther (Ia.) with a 7-0-1 lead in the all-time series with the Norse, but host-Luther produced the lone goal of the match at 48:43 and held on for victory Sunday afternoon. The Scots, who beat Wartburg (Ia.) a day earlier, are now 4-3 on the season, while LC goes up to 3-1-1.

Luther out-shot the Scots 15-9, and had six shots on goal. Mac keeper Tressa Versteeg (Sr., Pella, Ia.) kept Macalester in the match with five saves, but the Scots could not come up with the neutralizing goal.

Luther compiled a 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Macalester is off until Friday (Sept. 24) when it hosts an MIAC match with Augsburg at 7:30 p.m.
