Macalester vs. Gustavus Adolphus statistics

Macalester travelled to St. Peter for the MIAC opener and were beat 3-1 by Gustavus Adolphus. The Scots bounced back from a 25-13 defeat in the opening set to win a set two battle 25-22. The Gusties, however, responded with 25-6 and 25-19 wins in the third and fourth sets. Mac's record on the season is now even at 6-6.

Glasha Marcon (So., Richmond, Calif. / Albany) led the back row play with 16 digs and Steffanie Fisher (So., Lindenhurst, Ill. / Lakes Community) distributed 18 assists to lead the Scots.

Laura Avena (Fy., Cesis, Latvia / Riga Gimnasium #1) provided seven kills and 10 digs.

Gustavus attacked at a .245 rate and was led by Malea Noennig with 44 assists and 15 digs. Jenny Ewert had 21 digs.

The Scots host the Macalester Invitational this Friday and Saturday (Sept. 17-18) and will take on Grinnell (Ia.), Waldorf (Ia.), Concordia (Wis.) and Carleton.
