Macalester vs. St. Catherine statistics

The Scots showed outstanding improvement in 2010 under first-year coach Annie Doman from recent previous seasons, but could not close out on a winning note as host-St. Catherine swept Macalester 25-13, 25-29 and 25-15 in the season finale. Macalester finishes up at 13-16 overall and 3-8 in the MIAC.

The Scots were led by Kiera Coulter (Sr., Davis, Calif.), Laura Avena (Fy., Cesis, Latvia / Riga Gimnasium #1), Glasha Marcon (So., Richmond, Calif. / Albany) and Majra Mucic (Sr., Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park – Minn.) with five digs apiece. Avena had six kills, while Mucic contributed five kills and four blocks.

St. Catherine hit .209 for the match, while holding the Scots to a .013 mark.   The Wildcats were led by Brittni Wangerin with 11 kills and Nina Lindquist with 29 assists.
