Macalester vs. Gustavus Adolphus statistics

Macalester and Gustavus Adolphus played an evenly-matched contest Wednesday afternoon in St. Peter and the Scots kept their domination of the series going, getting a goal in the 69th minute from Maggie Molter (Fy., Cedarburg, Wis.) to defeat the Gusties 1-0.

The Scots are now 14-0-1 against Gustavus since dropping an NCAA playoff decision to the Gusties in overtime at the end of the 1995 season. Macalester improves to 8-5 on the campaign and 4-3 in the MIAC. Gustavus drops to 5-9 overall, 1-6 in conference play.

Molter, who tallied her first collegiate goal in an overtime decision over Bethel, picked her second Macalester goal at 68:35. Goalkeeper Rosie Glenn-Finer (So., San Francisco, Calif. / Lick Wilmerding) turned away four shots on net to record her fourth shutout in nine starts and drop her goals against average to 0.65.

Macalester's next four matches are at home, starting with a Friday night (Oct. 15) contest against St. Olaf at 7:30.  The Scots are tied for fifth place in the MIAC standings and still in the race for a top-four finish and spot in the league playoffs.
