Macalester vs. UM-Morris statistics

Just a day after opening the season against Luther, the Scots traveled to Minnesota-Morris for another non-conference match. The host-Cougars compiled a .311 hitting percentage to sweep Macalester 25-16, 25-23 and 25-19.

Three players in the back row reached double digits in digs to lead the Macalester defensive effort. Anna Trier (Fy., Sun Prairie, Wis.) led the team with 17 digs, followed closely by Glasha Marcon (Fy., Richmond, Calif. / Albany) and Marie Godwin (Sr., Chaska, Minn.) with 12.

Godwin and Majra Mucic (Jr., Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park – Minn.) had six kills apiece and Mucic also had three blocks.

Minnesota-Morris was led by Colleen Hermes with 19 digs and Brita Humphrey with 12 kills.

Macalester (0-2 on the season) plays a pair of matches Friday (Sept. 4) at St. Olaf College in Northfield. The team will take on Crown at 2 p.m. and Martin Luther at 4 p.m.
