Macalester vs. Concordia statistics

No. 22-ranked Concordia beat No. 16 Macalester 1-0 in a match between a pair of unbeaten teams Wednesday afternoon in Moorhead. The Cobbers scored on a break-away goal late in the first half and that was all they needed to win for the third straight time in the series.

Concordia improves to 5-0 (1-0 in the MIAC) and the Scots drop to 4-1-1 (0-1 in the MIAC).

The Cobbers earned a 12-8 lead in shots and 5-2 advantage in shots on goal. They had seven corner kicks, compared to four for Macalester. Four different Cobbers had shots directed on the net, facing Mac goalkeeper Tressa Versteeg (Jr., Pella, Ia.) to make four saves.

The Scots have their fourth road match in a row Sunday (Sept. 20) when they play at Wisconsin-Eau Claire. They return to MIAC play next Tuesday (Sept. 22) at home against St. Mary's.
