Crystal Barriga (Jr., Broomfield, Colo. / Legacy) went 3-for-4 in the nightcap with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Macalester attack. Twenty-two runners were left stranded on base by the two teams in the two-hour contest.
Each team scored once in the first inning in game one and Hamline opened up a commanding lead with five runs in the top of the third.
The Scots played well in the second game against one of the MIAC's top teams, but came up short as the Pipers scored the winning run in the top of the fifth inning. In addition to getting three hits and two runs driven in by Barriga, Macalester received RBI hits from
