Complete Wheaton Invitational results

Macalester went 1-2 Saturday at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational and is now 6-8 on the spring season.

The Scots took on eventual tournament champion Cal State East Bay in the first of their three games and lost 11-5. Macalester toppled Carthage (Wis.) by a defensive-minded 4-2 tally and then closed out the day with an 8-5 defeat to host-Wheaton.

Sarah Ellerton (Jr., Suffield, Conn. / Suffield Academy), Ari Litman (Fy., Claremont, Calif. / Vivian Webb School) and Catherine Anderson (Fy., Palo Alto, Calif. / Henry Gunn) accounted for 13 of the team's 14 goals. Ellerton netted five goals, while Litman and Anderson scored five times each.

Macalester plays six matches next Thursday through Saturday (April 2-4) at the Carthage Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. Mac will take on Penn State-Behrend, Grove City (Pa.), Wheaton, Washington & Jefferson (Pa.), Carthage and Colorado College.
