Macalester dropped its second two-point decision to Whittier over its Spring Break trip, this time by an 8-6 tally as the Poets. The Scots started off their trip to Southern California five days ago with a 13-11 defeat to Whittier.

Defensive play controlled the game through the first three quarter and Whittier led 4-3 going into the final period. Scoring picked up in the fourth quarter as the Poets out-scored the Scots 4-3 in the period.

Goalkeeper Sofia Shaw (Sr., Tacoma, Wash. / Stadium) registered 21 saves and a couple steals to keep the Scots in the game. Catherine Anderson (Fy., Palo Alto, Calif. / Henry Gunn) netted four of Mac's six scores, while Sarah Ellerton (Jr., Suffield, Conn. / Suffield Academy) and Claire Eder (So., Evanston, Ill. / Evanston Township) scored one apiece.
