Amanda Knopf (Fy., Boulder, Colo.) tossed a perfect game, retiring all 15 batters she faced in the five-inning contest, to lead Macalester to a one-sided 8-0 victory over Albright (Pa.) in Ft. Myers, Florida.

While Knopf was mowing them down, Macalester bats were hot, collecting 14 hits in 25 at bats, as the Scots had five players with multi-hit games. The Scots scored all the runs they needed with four in the first inning and then put the Lions away with three more runs in the fourth.

Chloe Souza (Fy., Los Angeles, Calif. / Windward) and Ali Nystrom (Jr., Minnetonka, Minn.) led the way with three hits each. Producing two hits each were Olivia Abbott (Jr. , Lakewood, Colo. / Green Mountain), Amanda Cagan (Jr., Saratoga, Calif. / Monta Vista) and Crystal Barriga (Jr., Broomfield, Colo. / Legacy).

Knopf's perfect game is the first for Macalester in recent memory.
