Box Score Macalester vs. Fredonia State box score

After being held to three hits and no runs earlier in the day by Delaware Valley, the Scots found their hitting stroke Sunday afternoon in a 10-2 victory over Fredonia State (N.Y.) as Macalester pounded out 13 hits in four innings. Macalester scored six times in the bottom of the second inning to overcome an early 2-0 Fredonia State lead, and then put the game away with four more runs in the fourth frame.

Macalester is now 3-3 while the Blue Devils are 3-2-1.

Amanda Knopf (Fy., Boulder, Colo.)gained her first collegiate win, holding Fredonia to seven hits and two runs.

The first five batters in Macalester's lineup produced two hits each: Ali Nystrom (Jr., Minnetonka, Minn.), Olivia Abbott (Jr., Lakewood, Colo. / Green Mountain), Amanda Cagan (Jr., Saratoga, Calif. / Monta Vista), Crystal Barriga (Jr., Broomfield, Colo. / Legacy) and Chloe Souza (Fy., Los Angeles, Calif. / Windward).

The Scots play games Monday with SUNY-New Paltz and Salem State (Mass.).
