Sofia Shaw (Sr., Tacoma, Wash. / Stadium) made 14 goalkeeper saves, as also had two steals and a blocked five-meter shot, to lead Macalester to an 8-4 victory over La Verne in the team's second game at the Claremont Convergence.
Six different players scored goals for the Scots, who play two more games at the Claremont Convergence tomorrow against California Lutheran and Chapman.
Macalester's defense was led by
Ari Litman (Fy., Claremont, Calif. / Vivian Webb School) with five stolen balls to go along with two assists.
Bailey Gucinski (Fy., Chicago, Ill. / Waubonsie Valley) assisted on three scores and also picked up four steals.
