Macalester vs. St. Olaf statistics

Macalester struck the first blow on a Maddy Cochrane (Sr., Grand Marais, Minn. / Cook County) goal in the 33rd minute in a key MIAC match at St. Olaf, but the Oles tied the score a few minute later and netted the game-winner in the 88th minute to defeat the Scots 2-1 in Northfield.

The defeat strikes a blow to Macalester's conference playoff hopes as the Scots drop to sixth in the MIAC at 4-3-1 (9-4-2 overall). The Oles are now 10-4 on the year and 6-2 in league matches.

Cochrane's second goal of the season came in the 33rd minute came off a pass from Lauryn Gutierrez (Jr., Hickory, N.C. / St. Stephen's).

The Oles received their tying and winning goal from Christine Barringer and Deanne Schmidt. St. Olaf earned a 6-3 lead in shots on goal.

Macalester is off until it plays next Saturday (Oct. 24) at St. Thomas.
