Emily Bardwell's game-winner
Macalester improved to 2-1 in the MIAC with a big 1-0 win over visiting St. Olaf Saturday night in St. Paul as
Emily Bardwell (So., Denver, Colo. / East) netted her first collegiate goal off an assist from
Emily Hall (So., Seattle, Wash. / Roosevelt) in the 38th minute for the only score of the match. The Scots go to 4-2 on the season. St. Olaf drops to 4-3 on the year and 1-1 in the MIAC.
Goalkeeper
Jenny Lee (Sr., Circle Pines, Minn. / Centennial) turned away seven shots on goal to post her second straight shutout. She also blanked Bethel with four saves earlier in the week in Arden Hills.
The match was closely played, with Lee's seven saves being the difference. St. Olaf out-shot Macalester 20-13 and had a 7-4 margin in shots on goal.
The Scots look for their third win in four MIAC matches when they play Wednesday (Sept. 24) at Hamline.
