Macalester vs. Minnesota box score

The 2008 spring women's water polo season got underway Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.  The Scots took on the U of M club team earned a hard-fought 5-4 victory to get the season off to an outstanding start.

Sarah Ellerton (So., Suffield, Conn. / Suffield Academy) netted three of her team's five goals, while teammate Jillian Benson (Fy., Evanston, Ill. / Evanston Township) accounted for Macalester's other two scores.

A large portion of the the '08 season will be completed over Spring Break March 15-20 in California as the Scots face some outstanding competition.  Among the teams Macalester will take on include Colorado College, Caltech, Whittier (Calif.), Wagner (N.Y.), Occidental (Calif.) and Concordia (Calif.).
