The Scots dropped their four matches over the weekend (Oct. 10-11) at the Wisconsin-River Falls Invitational, losing matches to host-UWRF 3-0, St. Mary's 3-1, Viterbo 3-0 and Augsburg 3-0. Erin Cusac (Jr., Backus, Minn. / Pine-River Backus) represented Macalester on the seven-player all-tournament team after averaging 2.8 digs per set.

St. Mary's won the tourney with a 4-0 record and Augsburg went 3-1.

Macalester spread out its attack over the 13 sets played in the tournament, getting 28 kills from Sonia Muzikarova (Bratislava, Slovakia / Gymnazium Bilikova) paced the team with 28 kills, (2.2 per set), while Taylor Tinkham (Fy., St. Louis Park, Minn.) and Majra Mucic (So., Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park (Minn.) added 27 kills apiece. Tinkham led the team in blocks with eight and hitting percentage at .277.

Setter Danielle Dweck (Fy., Glen Head, N.Y. / North Shore) provided 7.8 assists per set. In addition to getting 2.8 digs a set, Cusac also spiked 1.4 kills a set.

Macalester returns to conference play Wednesday (Oct. 15) when it hosts MIAC co-leader St. Benedict. The Blazers are 23-3 after going 4-0 at the Minnesota-Iowa Border Battle this weekend.
