On Friday afternoon (Oct. 29), Auburn Jimenez (Fy., East Los Angeles, Calif. / St. John Bosco) booted 44-yard and 43-yard field goals and went 6-for-6 on extra points on help the football team beat Minnesota-Morris 48-27 at the Metrodome. On Saturday (Oct. 30), after training with the cross country team just once all fall and racing just once, Jimenez was Macalester’s top runner at the MIAC championships. He was 34th overall and second among all frosh competiting with his 27:12.2 time over the Como Park course.
