Nathan Young (Sr., Denver, Colo. / Littleton) placed first in the finals of the 100-yard backstroke at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships Friday (Feb. 18) at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center. Young qualified for the finals with the fifth-fastest time in the prelims and then picked it up in the finals, finishing the race with a 51.21 clocking, edging Carleton's Andrew Mering (51.23) at the wall. Young was also MIAC 100-yard backstroke champ as a frosh.
