Skye was named Co-Swimmer of the Year, helping to lead the Scots to a third place team finish at the MIAC Championships. Schmit became a back-to-back MIAC Champion, defending her title in the 1650-yard freestyle. Her time of 17:31.39 was over 24 seconds faster than the runner-up in the event. She also was a MIAC Champion in two other events. In the 500-yard freestyle, she won in a time of 5:03.55, which was over seven seconds faster than the runner up. While in the 200-yard freestyle, Skye won in a time of 1:53.67, with an impressive overtake for the lead in the last 25 yards. She was also part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that became MIAC Champions. In the 400 freestyle relay, she earned All-Conference honors, as the Scots took third.
