Why did you choose Macalester?
I chose Macalester because of its rigorous academics and focus on internationalism. I also love the location, the Twin Cities have a lot to offer, and Mac is well connected to the community that surrounds it.

What other activities are you involved in at Macalester and in the community?
I play Ultimate Frisbee at Mac, and volunteer with the Red Cross and Children's Surgery International.

Do you have any unique talents, did you have a interesting internship this summer, have you invented something interesting?
In the spring of 2010, I climbed and summited Mt. Kilimanjaro with a few family members and friends.

What is your favorite sports movie and/or sports quote?
"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill."
