As a Scot
Played in all 28 matches in her senior season… Paced the team in assists with 713 on the year, ranking ninth in the MIAC… Recorded 26 aces and 24 kills throughout the season… Reached 25 assists or more in 12 different matches… Had five double-doubles on the year… Tallied 206 digs, which ranked third most of any player on the team… Collected a season-high 54 assists against Grinnell on Sept. 15… Surpassed 40 assists in four other contests… Had a season-high three aces against Beloit on Sept. 14… Recorded a season-high 15 digs against both Wisconsin River Falls on Aug. 31 and Lawrence on Sept. 9.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester because of its strong academics and focus on internationalism. I loved the idea of going to school with people from all over the world and getting the chance to learn about their experiences. The Twin Cities is also a major metropolitan area with lots of events and internship opportunities.
 
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
As a student-athlete at Macalester, I have had to be really organized with my schoolwork. Part of the reason I came to Macalester was because I felt that I would have the opportunity to be an athlete and also be involved in other activities on campus. By planning my time, I have been able to play volleyball as well as volunteer regularly and plan various health-related events on campus, therefore getting the well-rounded college experience I was looking for.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
As a student-athlete at Macalester, I've had to become really efficient with my schoolwork. Having my teammates as a support network has definitely helped too. I've surrounded myself with people that are dedicated to doing their best in the classroom and on the court, and after graduation I want to continue to be in a work environment with equally ambitious people.
