Competed at six meets… Ran the 5000 (16:01.19) and 10,000 (32:46.75) at the MIAC Outdoor Championships on May 9-10… Won the 1500 meter in 4:08.02 in the Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational on April 24-26.
 
Indoor
Ran at six meets for the Scots… Earned All-MIAC honorable mention for his sixth-place finish of 15:08.21 in the 5000 meter at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 27 to March 1… Placed second in the 3000 in 8:51.57 at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on Jan. 25.

Named to the Academic All-MIAC team.

Competed in the 5000m at the MIAC Outdoor Championships on May 10-11… Placed seventh in the 1500m (4:07.74) at the Saint John’s Invitational on April 20-21.

Indoor
Competed in the 3000m and 5000m at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 22-24… Placed fifth at the 3000m (8:58.67) at the St. Olaf Invitational on Jan. 26-27… Placed sixth in the 3000m (8:50.99) at the Carleton Meet of the Hearts on Feb. 10.

Competed in the 10,000m at the MIAC Outdoor Championships on May 12-13… Placed seventh in the 5000m (15:32.62) at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on April 27-29.

Indoor
Registered a personal record of 15:14.20 in the 5000m for seventh place at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24… Placed second in the 5000m (15:23.78) at the St. Olaf Invitational on Jan. 28… Placed third in the Mile (4:23.98) at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic on Feb. 18… Placed fourth in the 3000m with a personal record of 8:45.30 at the Carleton Meet of the Hearts on Feb. 11.

Outdoor
Ran a personal best time of 4:09.64 in the 1500m at the Meet of the Unsaintly on May 6... Finished the 5000m in 15:40.96 at the Tommie Twilight on May 4.

Indoor
Ran the Mile in 4:31.90 at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 26... Ran the 3000m in 9:02.25 at the Meet of Hearts on Feb. 12.

Before Mac
CSL North all-conference 2020 honors at Glenbrook North High School... Ran three miles in 15:47... NCTE writing competition finalist.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I was looking for a close knit and inclusive community that would help further my academic and athletic goals.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you?
Macalester is an environment where I feel encouraged to grow and change as I explore the world both physically and academically. It is a place where such growth is accepted as a natural part of becoming a “full person,” and results in a community of thoughtful, kind people who want what’s best for one another. To feel included in this community has been a delight.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Being part of a team has taught me what leadership actually is and has given me the opportunity to practice that leadership every day. As a result of my experiences on the team I feel more confident in my own interpersonal skills and my decision making and critical thinking skills even in stressful situations.
