Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

I chose to attend Mac because of the quality education I knew I would receive. Macalester offered the unique opportunity for me to continue my running career while also gaining valuable skills in preparation for post-collegiate life.

 

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

My time at Mac has meant growing to be the individual I am today. I have become a life-long learner, and gained experience in dedicating myself to the various parts of my life.

 

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?

My time as a student-athlete at Mac has taught me to really enjoy the moment.  Whether racing against other elite athletes, or applying myself in the classroom, Mac has instilled in me a love for truly engaging with a plethora of different activities, all of which I have used to help grow as an individual.

 

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?

Having spent four years at Mac, I am confident in my ability to fully articulate myself to the outside world, and interact on a more meaningful level with individuals around me. My running career has taught me the importance of dedication, whether to my sport or my academics, and I have gained valuable insight regarding the importance of entering any task with the right mindset.
