Macalester College Athletics

Sophie Pilhofer, a Minnesota native, joined the Macalester coaching staff as an assistant swimming coach in the fall of 2018. She is a 2013 graduate of Carleton College, where she majored in Political Science and International Relations while swimming for the Knights. During her college swimming career, Pilhofer was a captain, an 11-time All-MIAC swimmer and an All-American.

After college, Pilhofer went on to get her Master's degree in Public Policy. She now works as a program evaluator for the Minneapolis Public School District.
