Macalester College Athletics

Lachlan Hinwood became an assistant cross country coach for the Scots after graduating from Macalester in the spring of 2017. Hinwood was a four-year member of the cross country and track programs for all four years, establishing Macalester top-10 performances in the 1500 meters and 3000-meter steeplechase outdoors. As a senior he received All-Region and All-Academic honors.

Hinwood majored in geography and studio art. He currently lives in St. Paul and is completing a year-long postgraduate art apprenticeship program through Macalester’s art department.
