Macalester Recruiting Checklist

1. Complete our online Recruit Form.

2. Send times, video, and/or upcoming schedule. Email your most recent times/results, highlights, or a full game video to our coaching staff. If you have any upcoming showcases, camps, tournaments, or high school competition scheduled, please send that information as well.

3. Send your academic materials to our coaching staff. Email your most recent transcript(s), SAT/ACT test score breakdown, and list of current/upcoming classes directly to the Macalester coaching staff. Please note that the transcript does not need to be official.
*For rising (or current) seniors, the coaching staff will need your transcript(s) through junior year, SAT/ACT score breakdown, and list of senior classes.

4. Submit our Net Price Calculator. If you'd like a preliminary estimate of your family's investment in a world-class Macalester education, you can find easy-to-use cost calculators here. Do not hesitate to contact the Macalester coaching staff or Admissions Office with questions regarding Financial Aid or the cost calculators.

5. Visit Macalester! Schedule a visit to experience Macalester's beautiful campus, meet students, and speak with our coaching staff. You will also have the opportunity to see the vibrant surrounding Twin Cities. Contact the coaching staff about dates to ensure that it fits into the team's schedule.

6. Submit a Preliminary Application. To help you stay on track with deadlines, as well as hear about events and news from Macalester, submit the Preliminary Application by November 15. (It takes just minutes!) 

7. Inform your coach and counselor. Inform your high school/club coach and guidance counselor that you are interested in Macalester College and our program.

8. Complete your application. Macalester offers three application options:

• Early Decision 1 Deadline: November 1 (notifications mailed December 15^th).
• Early Decision 2 Deadline: January 1 (notifications mailed February 7^th).
• Regular Decision Deadline: January 15 (notifications mailed March 30^th).
   

9. Apply for financial aid: Complete both the FAFSA and the CSS PROFILE. Macalester is committed to meeting 100% of the demonstrated need of admitted students.
