Played in all 28 matches, including making 27 starts in her senior season… Totaled 204.0 points on the year, averaging 2.06 points per set… Her 204.0 points ranked second most of any player on the team… Also ranked second in kills (166) and aces (31) on the year… Averaged 2.22 digs per set, for 220 total digs throughout the season, which ranked second highest on the team… Collected a season-high 17 kills against Bethany Lutheran on Oct. 27… Picked up a solid 18 digs against Grinnell on Sept. 15… Had five aces against Carleton on Sept. 12.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I was looking at various small liberal arts schools with a focus on diversity and internationalism. I also was determined to play volleyball in college, and since Macalester is DIII, it was a good fit.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester doesn't just mean working out or competing in matches. Playing a varsity sport has developed my time management skills, leadership abilities, and mental strength. Now that I am going into my junior year, I feel confident and able to take on whatever challenges life may throw at me and I know that I will always have a group of strong, confident women to support me.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Being a student-athlete at Mac has taught me how to manage my time, value a good work ethic, and build meaningful relationships. All of these aspects of the student-athlete experience are not only applicable in the context of a work environment, but also in everyday life in general.
