Why did you choose to attend Macalester?

I chose to attend Macalester because it gave me the opportunity to continue in my athletic endeavors while still getting a top-flight education at one of the best institutions in the country. I truly believe that the coaching staff values me not only as an athlete, but more importantly as a young man.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?

Within my short time at Macalester I have already started to notice subtle, positive changes to my whole self as both an athlete and as a person as a direct result of the community and camaraderie it provides. I'm excited to see what the future holds for my teammates as well as myself as we continue to impact one another's lives.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?

My experience as a student athlete at Macalester has allowed me to develop both socially and intellectually into the person I am today by providing a support group that encourages individuality and diversity.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?

Participating as a student athlete at Macalester has enabled me to balance the challenges of adhering to a strict schedule, remaining healthy both physically and mentally, being successful in and out of the classroom, as well as giving me the ability to pursue my own happiness.
