Received the Presidential Leadership Award for Outstanding Seniors.
Outdoor
Earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention with a fourth-place finish (41.87m (137’ 4”)) in the discus throw at the MIAC Outdoor Championships on May 12-13… Placed fourth in the hammer throw with a personal record of 43.45m (142’ 7”) and placed second in the discus throw (39.14m (128’ 5”)) at the Carleton Relays on April 22.

Indoor
Earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention with a sixth-place finish in the weight throw (14.78m (48’ 6”) at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24… Won the weight throw with a personal record of 14.68m (48’ 9”) at the Carleton Meet of the Hearts on Feb. 11… Placed third in the weight throw (14.76m (48’ 5.25”)) at the St. Olaf Invitational on Jan. 28.

Earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

Threw for 12.84m in Shot Put at the UW-River Falls Winter Classic on Feb. 1... Threw for 13.38m in Weight Throw at the UW-River Falls Winter Classic on Feb. 1.

Before Mac
Earned the Al Chandler Mariners Hardest Worker Award at Mariner High School… Was his team’s weightlifting MVP… Also placed 13th in the discus at the Florida Class 3A meet… Received the Mariner High School All Sports Scholar Athlete Award.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I developed a great relationship with the coaches and really enjoyed my visits to the school.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My experience at Macalester has promoted me to take time for self-actualization and to continuously search for ways to grow as an individual.
