In a non-conference game on Wednesday at the University of Northwestern, he was 2-for-4 with a run, a double and three RBIs in an 11-1 victory. Then on Saturday against St. Olaf, McCaskey helped the Scots come back from a 10-3 deficit, belting a grand slam in Macalester's 14-run sixth inning of a 17-10 triumph. He was 2-for-2 with three runs in the first game, then delivered two hits, including a double, two runs and two RBIs in an 8-7 win in Game 2. For the week, McCaskey also posted a 1.100 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage.

McCaskey is having a standout senior season, batting .409 with 27 hits, 24 runs, six doubles, three triples, two home runs and 19 RBIs in 19 games. He has at least one hit in all but two games this season and is currently on a seven-game hitting streak.
