Swimming & Diving: Macalester Named to Fall Scholar All-America Team List; Men’s Team Ranks Second in Division III

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named Scholar All-America teams for the fall semester by the College Swimming Coaches of America Association (CSCAA), the organization announced. A total of 709 teams were honored.

The Macalester men's team registered a team GPA of 3.77 during the fall, which ranks second in Division III. The women's team recorded a 3.72 team grade-point average for the 2024 fall semester to tie for 22nd among Division III institutions.

In order to qualify as a Scholar All-America Team, teams must achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average for the 2025 fall semester. Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.

Macalester, coached by Kyllian Griffin, hosts Grinnell College in a dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Riley Pool.
