DULUTH, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team faced the College of St. Scholastica on the road, dropping a three-set decision, 25-18, 25-9, 25-17. The Scots are now 3-11 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while the Saints improve to 8-6, 1-1 MIAC.

Senior right side Avery Rahe (Olathe, Kan./Olathe West) and junior middle blocker Sydney Stratton (North Liberty, Iowa/Liberty) each had four kills, with Stratton posting a .429 hitting percentage. Junior setter Hannah Morrow (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook and sophomore setter Camilia Jones (Orlando, Fla.) split the setting duties, registering 10 and nine assists, respectively. Sophomore libero Elizabeth Joo (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian) notched seven digs to pace the defense. Lindsey Baribeau and Abby Zins had 10 kills apiece to lead St. Scholastica.

Macalester returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3 against Saint Benedict in the Scots' first home MIAC game of the season. Macalester will recognize select faculty and staff before and during the match, which starts at 7:00 p.m. in the Leonard Center.
