NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team played a MIAC match at St. Olaf College and lost in three sets, 25-18, 25-22, 25-8 Wednesday night in the Skoglund Athletic Center. The Scots are now 10-12 overall and 2-5 in conference play, while the Oles move to 16-6 overall and 4-3 in the MIAC.
St. Olaf controlled the first set, with Macalester getting as close as four points late before the Oles won, 25-18. In the second set, the Scots made a push late with a 7-2 run that held off set point four times before eventually falling, 25-22. Junior right side
Avery Rahe (Olathe, Kan./Olathe) tallied four kills in the set for Macalester. St. Olaf dominated the final set with 15 kills compared to seven for the Scots in taking the set, 25-8.

Adisa Preston (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) had 11 digs and senior right side
Grace Galer (Hanover Park, Ill./Schaumburg) added three blocks to spark the defense.
The Scots continue MIAC play with a home match against St. Scholastica on Thursday, Oct. 24. The first serve goes up at 7:00 p.m. in the Leonard Center.
