LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis battled with Carleton this evening in a conference matchup. The Scots fell 8-1. Macalester moves to 10-6 (6-2 MIAC).
Sophomore
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) and senior
Anton Korolev (Moscow, Russia/Weil) earned Macalester's lone point at No. 2 doubles winning 8-4. Both pairs of sophomore
Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) and senior
Matthew Sullivan (Tacoma, Wash./Weil) and senior
Josh Marine (Honolulu, Hawaii/Summit) and sophomore
Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) fell just short at first and third doubles respectively. Each pair fell 8-6.
The Knights took all the singles points. Sullivan almost forced a third set at second singles (4-6, 6-7 (8-10)). Korolev fell in two sets of 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
Macalester will finish out the regular season on Sunday April 23. The Scots will host St. Olaf on Hayden Courts at 1:30 p.m.
