MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team picked up its second conference win of the season today, defeating Concordia in dominating fashion, 8-1. The Scots are now 4-2 (2-0 MIAC).
At third, fourth, and fifth singles, sophomore
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani), senior
Anton Korolev (Moscow, Russia/Weil), and sophomore
Lucas Wood (Urbana, Ill./University Lab School), respectively, blanked their opponents (6-0, 6-0) to win points for the Scots. At second singles, senior
Matthew Sullivan (Tacoma, Wash./Weil) won in two sets of 6-2. Macalester won by default at sixth singles, while the Cobbers won the point at first singles.

Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) battled to an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles. Slated at No. 2 doubles, Doi and Korolev coasted to an 8-1 victory. Macalester won by default at third doubles.
Macalester's next match will be Monday March 13. The Scots travel down to Orlando, Fla. for their spring trip. Macalester will play Franklin and Marshall College, beginning at 6:00 p.m. EDT.
