ORLANDO, Fla. – The Macalester College men's tennis team bounced back from last night's match and were victorious against Ohio Wesleyan, 9-0. The Scots are now 5-3 (2-0 MIAC).

Matthew Sullivan (Tacoma, Wash./Weil) and sophomore
Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) blanked their opponents 8-0 at first doubles. At No. 2 doubles, senior
Anton Korolev (Moscow, Russia/Weil) and sophomore
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) battled to an 8-5 victory. The Scots also took the point at third doubles, where junior
Lewis Jolly (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell) and sophomore
Lucas Wood (Urbana, Ill./University Lab School) won 8-3.
Slated at No. 1 singles, Sargent defeated his opponent in two 6-3 sets. Sullivan coasted to a 6-1, 6-3 triumph at No. 2 singles. At third and fourth singles respectively, Doi and Korolev breezed past their opponents 6-2, 6-1. Sophomore
Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) blanked his opponent at fifth singles in two 6-0 sets. Finally, senior
Josh Marine (Honolulu, Hawaii/Summit) won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
The Scots' next dual sees them facing off against North Central College. The match is set for 9:30 a.m. CDT in Orlando, Fla.
