99 Macalester Student-Athletes Honored with Fall Academic All-MIAC Recognition

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College placed 99 student-athletes on the Fall 2022 Academic All-Conference team, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced today. A record total of 781 student-athletes from all 13 member institutions were honored, surpassing the previous record of 779, set last year.

To earn Academic All-Conference honors, MIAC student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum cumulative (career) grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having completed one full-time academic year at their current institution prior to becoming eligible for the award. Seniors Jesse Colnes (Montpelier, Vt./U-32), Ryan Davies (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt), Thomas Dono (Plymouth, Mich./Salem), Kate Ellerd (St. Paul, Minn./Nova Classical Academy), Milosz Fernandez-Kepka (Las Vegas, Nev./Indiana Univ. HS), Lucy Grochulska (Henrico, Va./Henrico), Sarah Hamilton (Chanhassen, Minn./Minnetonka) Mitchell Kastilahn (New Milford, Conn./New Milford), Eliza King (Novato, Calif./San Marin), Julia Kispert (Atherton, Calif./Menlo-Atherton), Jacob Kresnicka (Elmhurst, Ill./York Community), Celia Lesmeister (Decorah, Iowa/Decorah), Lily Lorenzen (San Francisco, Calif./Urban School of San Francisco), Zoe Lowe (Longmont, Colo./Longmont), Nolan Meyer (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton), Cole Peske (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton), Carmen Quintos (Portland, Ore./Riverdale), Peter Rachlin (Brookline, Mass./Brookline), and Annika White (Stillwater, Minn./St. Croix Prep Academy) have made the Academic All-Conference team each year they have been eligible.

Additionally, football seniors Ty Bruckner (Bel Aire, Kan./Wichita North), Jacob Davis (Orlando, Fla./University), Ryan Dodds (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee), Brant Newman (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area), Kian Sohrabi (Dubai, UAE/American School of Dubai), and Victor Wright (Cape Coral, Fla./Mariner) made the MIAC Academic All-Conference Team the past two years and the Midwest Conference All-Academic Team in 2019-20.
