Minneapolis, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team played Saint John's for its 15
th game of the season. The Scots defeated the Johnnies, 7-2, winning their sixth MIAC dual of the season. Macalester is now 10-5 (6-1 MIAC).

Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) and junior
Matthew Sullivan (Tacoma, Wash./Weil) blanked their opponents at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-0. At No. 3 doubles, senior
Alexander Poland (Madison, Wis./Madison West) and first year
Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) eased to an 8-3 win. The Johnnies took the point at No. 2 doubles.
Sullivan crushed his opponent at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-2. At third singles, first year
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) won in two 6-3 sets. Sargent won his first set 7-6 (7-2) and the second set 7-5 to take No. 1 singles. Junior
Anton Korolev (Moscow, Russia/Weil) and Poland won at fifth and sixth singles respectively, each winning their first set 7-5 and the second set 6-2. The Johnnies won at No. 2 singles after senior
Karsten Knutsen (Minneapolis, Minn./Riverfield Country Day (Okla.) forced a third set.
The Scots' next match is scheduled for Tuesday April 26 at 4:30 p.m. Macalester travels to Northfield to compete against St. Olaf.
