Eau Claire, Wis. – The Macalester College women's tennis team played its fifth dual of the season against University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this afternoon. The Scots lost the dual, 9-0, to the BluGolds. The Scots are now 2-3 (1-1 MIAC).
At No. 3 singles, sophomore
Meg Ulrich (Carlisle, PA./Carlisle) saw a three-set battle with Lindsey Henderson. Ulrich took the first set 7-5, but fell in the next two 6-4 and 10-Junior
Amalin Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) came close in her first set at No. 1 singles, falling 7-5, before losing the second set. The BluGolds swept second, fourth, fifth, and sixth singles in two sets.
In doubles, sophomore
Talia Chait (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) and first year
Megan Twomey (Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn) paired up at No. 3 doubles. Chait and Twomey battled to an 8-3 loss. Eau Claire won both first and second doubles 8-2.
The Scots' next competition will be March 13 in Orlando, Fla. The Scots will take on the University of Scranton.
