Virginia, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team competed in its third MIAC dual of the season against St. Scholastica. The Scots were victorious, 7-2 over the Saints. The Scots improve to 7-4 (3-0 MIAC).

Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) to win No. 1 doubles 8-5. Senior
Alexander Poland (Madison, Wis./Madison West) and first year
Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) claimed victory 8-2 at No. 3 doubles. The Saints took the point at No. 2 doubles.
After a narrow 6-4 first set win at No. 1 singles, Sargent swept the second set 6-0 to take the point. At No. 2 singles, first year
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) won 6-3, 6-1. Sullivan took No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0. No. 4 singles winner, junior
Anton Korolev (Moscow, Russia/Weil) took the match in two sets, 6-4, 6-3. Poland squeaked by with a first set win 7-5, and then crushed the competition 6-0 in the second set to take No. 5 singles. The Saints won at No. 6 singles.
The Scots' next match is Tuesday, April 5, at 4:30 p.m. The Scots travel to play St. Olaf.
