Orlando, Fla. – The Macalester College women's tennis team played its second game down in Florida today. The Scots took on the Mustangs of Stevenson University and took a commanding 8-1 victory. Macalester improves to 3-4 (1-1 MIAC).
Juniors
Amalin Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and
Avery Munster (San Luis Obispo, Calif./Mission) at No. 2 doubles and sophomore
Talia Chait (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) and first year
Megan Twomey (Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn) at No. 3 doubles sailed to 8-0 victories over the Mustangs. Sophomores
Amanye Reynolds (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) and
Meg Ulrich (Carlisle, PA./Carlisle) had a closer game, but still pulled the win, 8-4.

Hannah Lundblad (Lakeville, Minn./South) each won their matches at three, four, five, and six singles in two 6-0 sets. Reynolds defeated her opponent at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0. The Mustangs took a point in a tight three set No. 1 singles match.
The Scots will play Curry College on March 17.
