Orlando, Fla. – The Macalester College men's tennis team played Stevenson University in its second game of its spring trip. The Scots soared to a 9-0 victory. The Scots are now 4-3 (1-0 MIAC).

Alexander Poland (Madison, Wis./Madison West) and first year
Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) blanked their No. 3 doubles opponent, 8-0. First years
Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) and
Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) only gave up one game, in their 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles. At No. 1 doubles, juniors
Matthew Sullivan (Tacoma, Wash./Weil) and
Josh Marine (Honolulu, Hawaii/Summit) won 8-2.
All the Scots won their singles matches in two sets. At No. 3 singles, Sullivan won 6-3, 6-1 while junior
Anton Korolev (Moscow, Russia/Weil) won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Poland won his No. 5 singles match by blanking his opponent in the first set, and winning 6-2 in the second. Sargent and Doi won No. 1 (6-2, 6-4) and No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-3) respectively. Senior
George Steinke (Swathmore, PA./Strath Haven) secured the win at No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-0.
The Scots will play Curry College on Thursday March 17.
