Minneapolis, Minn. – The Macalester College women's tennis team opened their spring campaign with a 9-0 sweep over UW-Superior. The Scots start off their season 1-0.
In doubles play, sophomores
Amanye Reynolds (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) and
Meg Ulrich (Carlisle, PA./Carlisle) were slotted no.1 and coasted to an 8-1 victory. No. 2 doubles partners, juniors
Amalin Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and
Avery Munster (San Luis Obispo, Calif./Mission) won their match 8-3. Senior
Cameron Payne (Charleston, W. VA./St. Timothy's) and first year
Megan Twomey (Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn) paired up at no. 3 doubles and earned a hard fought 8-5 victory.

Talia Chait (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) and senior
Hannah Lundblad (Lakeville, Minn./South) each won their singles matches in two sets.
The Scots will compete next against Concordia. They will travel to Moorhead for the MIAC matchup starting at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 12.
