Day 3 Finals Results
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Macalester College men's swimming and diving team saw its swimmers break an individual school record and a relay school record on the third day of the MIAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. The Scots remain in fifth place in the team standings with 136 points.
First year
Charles Batsaikhan (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/East Chapel Hill) qualified for the finals of the 100-yard breaststroke by breaking the school record in the preliminaries. His time of 58.84 bested the old mark of 59.65, set by
Sjon Swanson '06 in 2006. Batsaikhan then finished eighth in the final with a time of 59.49.
Seven more Scots scored points in their events. Senior
Benjamin Blomquist (Las Vegas, Nev./Ed W. Clark) placed 11th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 53.96. In the 400-yard individual medley, first year
Ryan McNeff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) was 13th, senior
Tanner Hubbard (Farmington, Minn./Farmington) took 14th and first year
Ramier Villarama (Bayonne, N.J./High Tech) placed 16th, with McNeff and Villarama posting personal-best times. First year
Jay Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian) also swam a lifetime-best time in the 200-yard freestyle to finish 14th, while first year
Adam Schroeder (Altadena, Calif./St. Francis) took 16th. First year
Ben Lewin (Beachwood, Ohio/Beachwood) turned in a personal best in the prelims of the 100-yard breaststroke before taking 16th in the finals.

Aidan Williams (Chicago, Ill./Walter Payton College Prep) and first year
Isaac Kisker (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) broke a 33-year-old record in the event by placing fourth with a time of 1:27.46. The old record of 1:28.28 was set back in 1989.
Other Scots who swam lifetime bests in their events include Kisker and sophomore
Brian Pryzby (Skokie, Ill.) in the 100-yard butterfly, and first year
Adrian Aguilar (Oakland, Calif./St. Joseph's Notre Dame) in the 200-yard freestyle.
The MIAC Championships conclude on Saturday, Feb. 19, with the morning session beginning at 10:30 a.m. followed by the 1650 freestyle at 2:30 p.m. and the finals at 6:30 p.m.
