ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College senior forward
Emma LaFrenz (Edina, Minn./Edina) was chosen as the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference today. LaFrenz helped the Scots to its first MIAC victory last week, defeating Saint Mary's 72-56 on Nov 22.
LaFrenz registered her second double-double of the season in the victory, recording 10 points and 12 boards. Eight of those rebounds were defensive. She also made three blocks and tallied two assists in the win. LaFrenz's defensive efforts limited the Cardinals to only shoot 28.6% from the field.
Through five games, LaFrenz is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game, leading the MIAC. She also leads the MIAC with 38 defensive rebounds.
The Scots continue MIAC play on Wednesday Nov 30. Macalester travels to face St. Catherine at 7:00 p.m.
