St. Paul, Minn.- The Macalester College women's tennis team celebrated senior day with a 9-0 win over Hamline University at home. The Scots now improve to 7-1 (7-1 MIAC) while Hamline falls to 1-12 (0-9 MIAC).

In doubles play, the no. 1 slotted first-year duo of
Arista Siebrits (Frisco Texas/Laurel Springs) and
Sydney Ellison (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park) took an 8-2 victory over the no. 1 slotted Pipers pair. The no. 2 sister pairing of sophomore
Amalin Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and senior
Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) only allowed one point in their 8-1 win. Senior pair of
Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and
Emma Baker (Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) held down the no. spot with an 8-1 win to secure the doubles sweep.

No. 1 slotted Siebrits shutout her opponent in two straight sets with a pair of 6-0 wins. No. 2 slotted Ellison shut her opponent out in the first set with a score of 6-0 then only allowed one point in set two with a 6-1 victory. A. Sorajja also only allowed one point through two sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-0 in the no. 3 spot.

Amanye Reynolds (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) took set one with a score of 6-3 then dominated set two with a 6-0 shutout. First year
Meg Ulrich (Carlisle, Pa./Calisle) earned her first career singles win with a two set victory. Ulrich took set one by a score of 6-3 and won set two by a score of 6-0.
