Minneapolis, Minn.- The Macalester College women's tennis lost their final match of the regular season by a score of 7-2 to Gustavus Adolphus College but earned the no. 3 seed after finishing the regular season with a 7-2 (7-2 MIAC0 record. Gustavus improves to 15-1 (8-1 MIAC) after today's win and sit just one spot ahead of the Scots for the playoffs.

Both of the Scots wins came in doubles play. First-year duo of
Arista Siebrits (Frisco Texas/Laurel Springs) and
Sydney Ellison (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park) won their match by a score of 8-5 in the no.1 position.

The sister pairing sophomore
Amalin Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and senior
Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) also win their match by a score of 8-5 in the no. 2 position.

Siebrits fell in three sets in her singles play match. Siebrits won the first set by a score of 6-3 but lost the next two sets by a score of 6-3 and 10-6.

First year
Amanye Reynolds (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) fell in two sets in the no. 6 slot but took the first set to a super breaker before losing 7-6 (7-5). Reynolds fought hard but lost the second set by a score of 6-3.

The no. 3 seeded Scots will face off with no. 6 seeded St. Catherine University on May 5 at 3:30 pm. Macalester and St. Kate's played during the regular season, the Scots won by a score of 8-1.
