Lakeville, Minn.- The Macalester College women's tennis team battled with St. Olaf College in a mid-week MIAC match. The Scots used strong singles play come up victorious over the Olies. After collecting the 6-3 win, Macalester now improves to 6-1 (6-1 MIAC) while St. Olaf falls to 3-5 (3-5 MIAC).

The no. 3 positioned senior duo of
Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and
Emma Baker (Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) tallied the only doubles win of the night for the Scots after defeating the Olies pair by a score of 8-3.

Arista Siebrits (Frisco Texas/Laurel Springs) won her singles match in two straight sets with scores of 6-0 and 6-1 from the no. 1 position. First year
Sydney Ellison (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park) grabbed a victory from the no. 2 position with a 6-4 and a 6-3 win.

Hickey only needed two sets to win her match from the no. 3 slot. Hickey blanked her opponent 6-0 in the first set then took the second set by a score of 6-2. No. 5 positioned senior
Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) won a close set by a score of 7-6 after winning the tie breaker (7-2). N. Sorajja then took set two by a commanding score of 6-1. First-year
Amanye Reynolds (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) took care of business in the no. 6 spot by defeating her opponent un two straight sets. Reynolds took set one by a score of 6-1 and set two by a score of 6-2.
