Scots Fall to Concordia Despite Outhitting the Cobbers

Moorhead, Minn.- The Macalester College baseball team fell just short in their comeback attempt against Concordia College. After dropping game three of the three-game series to the Cobbers, the Scots fall to 6-12 (6-12 MIAC). Concordia improves to 11-11 (5-7 MIAC) after winning the three-game series.

Despite Macalester collecting 12 hits, the Scots were only able to score three runs. Junior Anthony Palma (Moorseville, N.C./Lake Norman) led the game off with a single to left field and later advanced to third on a single from junior Michael Moreno (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa). Sophomore Kenny Rodriguez (Bronx, N.Y./George School) then drove in Palma on a single to left field to give Macalester an early 1-0 lead.
