Sartell, Minn.- The Macalester College women's tennis team bounced back with an impressive 8-1 win over the College of Saint Benedict this afternoon. The Scots improve to 3-1 (3-1 MIAC) while Saint Benedict falls to 3-7 (1-6 MIAC).

Macalester had a clean sweep of doubles play to earn three points for the Scots. No. 1 slotted first-year's
Arista Siebrits (Frisco Texas/Laurel Springs) and
Sydney Ellison (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park) defeated their opponents 8-4. No. 2 slotted sister duo of sophomore
Amalin Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and senior
Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) earned an 8-2 win over the CBS duo. No. 3 slotted senior duo of
Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and
Emma Baker (Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) went on to defeat their opponents by a score of 8-3 to round out duos play.

In singles play, No. 1 slotted Siebrits blanked her opponent 6-0 in set one and took set two by a score of 6-1. No. 2 Ellison won her match in two sets by a score of 6-3 and 6-2. No. 4 A. Sorajja also defeated her opponent in two sets with scores of 6-4 and 6-2. No. 5 N. Sorajja also handled business by defeating her opponent by a score of 6-2 and 6-3 in two sets. First-year
Amanye Reynolds (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) held down the no. 6 slot with a 6-2 and a 6-1 win in two sets.
